What is the Mixed Offshore Double Handed World Championship 2025?
If we analyze it like a math formula:
-> 'Mixed Double Handed' means 1 woman and 1 man
-> 'Offshore' says it all: one needs stamina, and it's not for the faint-hearted
-> 'World Championship 2025': 22 September - 1 October 2025 in Cowes (UK), the World's best 21 teams race in 2 qualifying races, and 10 teams finally compete in the final for gold. All race in the same boats, provided by the organization. The boats are the same. For this event: Class30 one design boats or as some know it: Jeanneau Sunfast 30 One Design.
The World Championship and the Class30 is governed by World Sailing.

We love you to be part of the journey towards the Worlds2025! Officially, the journey ends 1 October 2025. It is one of a 'pressure cooker style': Little time, a lot to do, in a very specific discipline.

communication, training, meteo, logistics, technical support, ...
your skills of excellence that unlocks a golden lining to the worlds 2025 campaign.
Any non-financial support
Logistics, boat rental, navigation, gear, safety stuff, food & beverage, travel, fees for racing, training, insurance, spares, and accommodation, are just a few extra costs to consider in our campaign budget.
Representing your nation comes at a cost. As this discipline is new and not (yet) an Olympic discipline, one has to fund it him/herself.
Obviously, we continue and organize the necessary within the time and means available.
We appreciate any help from you!
Such could be 'in kind', a donation through GoFundMe or company sponsoring.

Meet CHRIS:
Chris’ offshore racing career was shaped during the four-year Team Heiner Talents programme, where, together with Ivar, she honed her skills both as crew and skipper. During this time, they achieved several strong results, including victory in the 24 Uurs Race and a fourth place in the Corinthian class at the ORC Worlds in Kiel. Since then, Chris has built an impressive offshore track record, highlighted by winning the Dhream Cup in ORC1 in 2024. With extensive experience in major offshore events – including the Rolex Fastnet, multiple North Sea Races and Vuurschepenraces – she has covered many offshore miles and proven herself as a capable skipper, recognised for her sailing intuition, determination and strong leadership.

Meet IVAR:
Ivar began sailing at a young age and has since built an impressive record across offshore and inshore racing. He secured a 2nd place podium finish in the Nastro Rosa Il Veloce, won a leg of the Il Giro, and placed fifth in class at the Rolex Fastnet Race. He also competed in the prestigious Admirals Cup. Together with Christiane Walta, Ivar spent four years in the Team Heiner Talents programme, achieving several podium results, including fourth in the ORC Worlds Corinthian and victory in the 24 Uurs Race. As one of the youngest teams in the field, they continue to push themselves against the very best.
